Method #1: upload your tracks to bandwagon.fm
Upload your music to Bandwagon and tick the box that says “Distribute to The Indie Beat.”
METHOD #2: UPLOAD YOUR TRACKS DIRECTLY TO THE INDIE BEAT.

ENSURING YOUR WORK GETS PLAYED IN THE RIGHT PLACES
When uploading your tracks, please include any and all genres that you feel apply. If you specifically think your work belongs on one of our genre stations (Rock, Pop, Electronic, Ambient, Jazz, or Spoken), be sure to include it in your tags. Curated channels are independently operated, so don’t tag with things like “NHAM.” The Indie Beat, itself, doesn’t control what music is played on the NHAM stations or other curated stations.
Don’t hesitate to also include tags that you don’t currently see on The Indie Beat. As we build up enough tracks in other genres (like Punk, Classical, Metal, etc.) we’ll be launching new stations to showcase tracks that are tagged as such.
RESTRICTIONS AND LIMITATIONS
Long tracks: currently, on every station except Ambient tracks can be no longer than 6 minutes. Tracks tagged as “ambient” that are longer than 6 minutes are currently being added to the Ambient station.
AI: we don’t have the resources to police every track to check if it’s AI-generated. But the policy is that we don’t accept material that’s entirely AI-generated. If you use smart tools in your process, that’s fine, as long as the final work is predominately human made. If you hear something on TIBr that you believe is AI slop, please note the track name and the artist and send a private note to MizKirsten at @mizkirsten@mastodon.social or @theindiebeat@theindiebeat.fm
Uncool stuff: no hate, no bigotry, no misogyny, no racism, no fascism, no white supremacy, no targeting of violence, no targeting of private individuals. No illegal or copyright infringing material. If you can’t do your thing without harming or intimidating innocent folks, skip us.
When will my work show up on TIBR?: announcements get posted regularly on mastodon @theindiebeat@theindiebeat.fm listing tracks as they get added. Please know that it can take a couple of weeks after uploading for a track to show up on the channel and respective stations. It’s not automated, so sometimes human events can slow the process a little bit.
